In this month’s (July)glossybox,  I received:

1. Zoya Nail Lacquer in Wednesday (15 ml-FullSize!!!) (retail $8.00)
Interesting colour..can’t wait to try it. It's a nice, robin's egg/baby blue.

2. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer  in Cherry (2.6g-Full Size!!) (retail $5.99)
I already use Burt’s Bees, but havenever tried this colour. I find my lips are always dry, so this is a great itemfor me.

3. Dove Softening Creme Body Wash (200ml-Full size!!) (retail $5.99)
It might not be a “luxury” item, butI will most definitely be using it, and it smells WONDERFUL!!!

4. Alessandro International Pedix HeelRescue Balm (30 ml) (full size retail $19.95/100ml)
Anything for my feet is great!Especially as a pre-pedi prep.

5. John Freida Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution (10 ml) (full size retail $14.99/60ml)
I’ve got thick, frizzy hair and theweather has been hot and humid this summer. Can’t wait to try this on my frizz!

**bonus** BeautySoClean Sanitizer Wipes (4 wipes) (48 pack retail $12.50)
Yup, my brushes could use a goodcleaning, so I’ll use them tonight.

So 3 full size items and a bonusitem!  I am thrilled since I will beusing everything I received! This wasn’t the best box I’ve gotten from them, but I appreciate being able to use EVERYTHING that they sent. I rate this box a4.5/5. I took away .5 since the items weren’t all high-end, but it’s great toget 3/5 items full size.

My June 2012 Glossybox finally came in today!

After patiently waiting (and Canada Post incorrectly stating the delivery date as June 27th), here's what I got:

1. Biore 4-in-1 Revitalizing Cleanser - I can't wait to try this! You can never have too many face washes. Full Size!
2. Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Touch SPF 55 Sunscreen - Great for the summer, and I love Nutrogena products. Sample size, but very convenient to keep in my purse.
3. Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz - This is supposed to give your hair a 'Beach' look. I hope it works! Full Size!
4. Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex - I got a sample of this in one of my other beauty boxes, but I'm happy to receive another one. I've tried it, and I honestly think it works better than expensive department store brands like Estee Lauder and Lancome. My skin looked and felt much better after using this product, compared to the high end ones. Sample size.
5. Covergirl Flipstick  - Blendable lip Duo - I had seen ads for this in various magazines and really wanted to try it. I received the "Whisper" colour which is really pink and not flattering on me at all no matter how I blend it. Not thrilled with the colour, but maybe I can blend it with something I already own. Well, at least it was FULL SIZE!!
6.Venus Embrace Razor - I will definately make use of this, as I already use them! Full Size!
7. Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strip - I've used these before and don't mind them, but I don't find they work nearly as well as advertised. I never see bunches of blackheads on my strips after I use them. I got 1 strip, and I am willing to try this one again.

So there you have it! I give this box a 4.5/5, taking off half a point only because I didn't like the Lipstick colour. Glossybox never fails to impress, and though some people have complained that the products they are sending are not high end enough, I am happy to receive and try out stuff that I know will be in my price range and affordable if I decide to purchase it on my own.  I love that Glossybox is sending me EXACTLY what I asked for in my survey, and that 6/7 of the products they sent in this box will definately be used by me.

Glossybox is the reason why I cancelled my Glymm Box membership 2+ months ago. With Glymm, it got to the point where I was making use of maybe 1 sample per month, the rest were either thrown or given away because I just couldn't use them!

Well worth the wait and I can't wait to receive the July box!

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Care line - My honest review as a BzzAgent

**Disclosure** I am a BzzAgent (see www.bzzagent.com to join) and received a sample of this product.  I am sharing my honest opinion of it with you. Enjoy!

My rating... 4/5

I was so happy to receive an invite from BzzAgent to try out Burt's Bee's Sensitive skin products. I have terribly itchy skin, made worse by winter dryness.  They drier my skin gets, the more sensitive it is to certain products. I've been using Burt's Bees cleanser for about a month now, and I've been following it up by using the Sensitive Skin Facial moisturiser right after.

Using both products made my skin softer and smoother.  I put it on my face and neck at night and I wake up with skin that is still moisturised in the morning, and best of all, not itchy and red!

The only reason why I gave the products a 4/5 rating is that the cleanser has a bit of an "off" smell to me. Almost like spoiled milk, though not as bad, but still a bit off-putting all the same. On the other hand though, I know that highly fragranced products are more likely to cause irritation. That said, it would have been nice to have just a bit of scent to the cleanser.  All in all though, this product line does what it says it will, and worked great for me.

My March Glossybox finally made it to my house!  A little delayed due to some issues on their end, but for a first box, I am very pleased with the selection.

I received the following:

1. PANDORA’S blush- St. Tropez
This looks to be full size and is in a cute package. I also loved the pink color. A nice light pink, not an obnoxious bright one.

2. Algemarin Foam Bath (sample packet)
Never tried this before, but I will use it in a future bath.

3. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion (71 mL)
I've used this before and it works well on my sensitive skin.  It doesnt' have much scent but is very moisturizing. It's a good size tube, and will last me about a month or so.

4. Evian Brumisateur Facial Spray (50 mL)
I used a quick spritz of this on my face (fresh from the mailbox, so it was cold) and felt really refreshed. I'll use it in my gym bag, and it'll feel great after I'm all hot from my workouts.

5. Sebastian Re-Shaper Hairspray (43 g)
I haven't had a chance to use this yet.  I like that you can still brush your hair with it in.

6. Kobuki Brush - $40 value
I was very very pleased with this product. It seems really high quality, and will work perfectly with the Pandora's Blush they sent.  Other people got lipgloss or foundation powder, but I was very happy to receive this instead.

In addition, there was a very descriptive  Sebastian Professional Products  booklet describing their product line with pictures.
and
a Pandora’s Makeup Box 40% off coupon for their site.
I was very pleased with this month's box.  I was previously a Glymm box subscriber, and I have one month left (April) and have cancelled it. Check out my review from last month of the Glymm box.   This Glossybox is waaaaay better than any Glymmbox I received (many of the cosmetic items came in colours that were just not for me).

I give this box a 9/10.  Keep up the fantastic work Glossybox!  I can't wait to receive the April box!
Feel free to leave me comments!

February Glymm Box Review!!

I am anxiously awaiting my  My February Glymm Box is Here!!!

It is a subscription service that for $10/month  (shipping included!!) contains a carefully curated selection of 4-5 deluxe beauty samples delivered directly to your door.  Order your Glymm Box today here: Glymm Box Site
The products I have received are hit or miss, but receiving the box is like getting a Christmas or Birthday present..a pleasant surprise!

So this month's contained 4 different products:
1) Sula – Natural Shadow- Full Size (.15 Oz) and retail value of $8.00.  The colour I got was "Smoke and Mirrors and is a pretty grey/silver colour.  I will be using this.

2) Burt’s Bees – Tinted Lip Balm -Full Size– I LOVE Burt's Bees products so this is my favourite item in the box this month. I got the Rose colour-very light but work's great!

 3) Glamglow – Exfoiliating Mud Mask - This smells interesting and I really want to try it. That said though, I received a very small  7ML tube, and  it doens't look big enough to cover my face.

 4) Mai Couture –  2 in 1 oil Blotting/Bronzing Papier – I'm not at all happy with this sample.  They gave me one sheet in a ziplock bag!  They could have given 5-10.

I really liked the full size items..the samples..not so much. All in all, I'd give this month's box a 6.5/10.  Also, they didn't include any Jelly Belly's in this one!

Leave me your comments..let me know what you think.  Can't wait to see what March brings!

Goody's Hair Products Survey...Chance to sample free stuff!

I got this email yesterday:
 Here's the actual link: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22EUQP3HB4F
The survey is open to Canada and the U.S. but gives you a chance to try out Goody's products.  What's exciting is that at the end, they ask what you'd be interested in trying..and to pick 3 out of four items from either a hair brush, 2 types of blow dryers and a curling iron.

I'm really hoping I get picked for this! Check out the survey and I hope you get picked too!

New BzzAgent Burts Bees Campaign..Sensitive Skin Products!

I just received an invite for this campaign since I am an active Bzzagent. (If you don't know what Bzzagent is...check it out at http://www.bzzagent.com/ )

I cannot wait to try these products out.  I've got sensitive, dry, irritated skin, that seems to totally hate this icky winter weather.  I've tried Burts Bees products before, all with great results, so I am super optimistic that these will do wonders for my skin, as well.  Stay tuned...a full review to follow.
